If like us, you enjoy nature, then Finca Lagarto is the place for you. Nestled in the Natural Park of ‘Sierra de las Nieves, it is overlooked by mountains and adorned with beautiful olive-, oak- and almond trees.
The charming white village of 'Monda' is within walking distance, while the Costa del Sol with its sandy beaches is just 25 minutes away. Our central location makes us the perfect base from which to explore Andalusia.
You will need to act quickly, however, as we only have four camping pitches and two glamping accommodations. This makes us the smallest campsite throughout Andalusia!
Imagine yourself relaxing in a hammock, listening to the soothing sound of crickets. This is precisely what you can expect at Finca Lagarto, without feeling that you are on a campsite! We offer spacious camping pitches between the trees or in the sun, complete with water and electricity.
If you prefer a more luxurious camping experience, try our Glamping Belltent 'Loving Nature' for breakfast under an olive tree and dinners under the stars. Alternatively, our Glamping van 'Mountain View' offers a breathtaking view of the mountains. And for those who want to stay cozy during the winter months….our gas heater will keep you warm.
And don't worry about the summer heat –Thanks to the thermals here in the mountains, we are blessed almost daily with a pleasant breeze during the hot summer days, this often gets preference over the beach! Plus, we have a cozy splash pool surrounded by flowers where you can cool down.

Camping pitches
Our cozy and intimate campsite features only four pitches, creating a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. Choose a location nestled among the trees, offering shade or look for plenty of sunshine. And don't worry – water and electricity are always readily available. In addition, we provide sanitary facilities equipped with free hot water for your convenience.
Enjoy yourself without having the feeling that you are at a campsite!

Relax and enjoy the view of the mountains
Come and relax on one of the sunbeds with the amazing view of the surrounding mountains, or swing in the hammock in the shade of an olive tree for a siesta or a relaxed reading hour. In the evening, stare at the sparkling starry sky with the sound of the chirping crickets.
Feeling a bit peckish? Take a stroll down to the little white village of Monda. In just 15 min you will be sat at one of the local bars enjoying a delicious tapa and a cool beer or enjoy a glass of the lovely Spanish wines.
Feeling a little lazy to go out for a day? No worries! Then order a meal on our cozy private terrace. (1 day earlier)
In the evening with the stars twinkling, you can contemplate how you will be going to explore the wonderful and historical towns and cities of Andalucia as Finca Lagarto is ideally central located.
So, whether you choose to unwind or take on the world, the choice is yours…

We are located in the Nature Reserve "Sierra de las Nieves" so hiking could start right here at the gate of Finca Lagarto. More hiking could be done in yet another Nature Reserve "El Torcal" with its interesting rock formations, may be in combination with a visit to the Dolmen near Antequera. Swim in the natural blue/green water of the lakes near Ardales. Walk the famous ‘Caminito del Rey’. Visit the cities of Málaga, Ronda, Antequera and Nerja with its caves and beautiful beaches. Not to mention the royal cities! Granada, Sevilla and Córdoba. Not exciting enough? Make an excursion to Morocco with the Ferry from Málaga, Tarifa or Algiceras.
